Teachers from Poland Czech Republic and Hungary gathered in the delightful little town of Vitkov in Czech Republic for a 2-day conference.The participants came from Lublieniec Poland ), Rabka Zdrój(Poland, Vitkov( Czech Republic) , Kiskunfélegyháza ( Hungary).
We were immediately struck bythe beauty of this country, the picturesque mountains and the old -style settlemen, and the generous hospitality of Czech people.
The conference took place at Vitkov Vocational and Primary School, where we were treated like royalty.
The teachers made their own way to Vitkov by 5 p.m. on 13th December, Sunday, and held the first meeting in a local restaurant. They officially assembled on Monday the 14th of December.
On arrival at the school we were stunned by the great amount and impressive Advent decorations and were greeted warmly by the coordinator and the Headmaster.
We were given a tour of the school , before starting our first session .
The first point of the agenda was reviewing the logo of our projekt and we voted for the best from the selected ones. We were unanimous i agreeeing that this wil be a successful academic year.
We set the next meeting places and the programmes. In March in Hungary , in May in Lubieniec and in October Rabka Zdrój.
We agreed that a considerable number of students will be involved in all four schools apart from the core-group (about 32 pupils).
During the Hungarian meeting theassessment of quetsionnairs about customs will be displayed, the events of the 5-day-long meeting will focus on Easter traditions, involving presentations, drama performances, arts and crafts workshops and visiting sights of local culture.
Thismeeting was interspersed with regular intakes of coffee,chocolate and cake.
After lunch in school canteen , we went to visit the town of Vitkov.
The conference ended at 2 o’clock on Monday leaving the teachers full of energy , new experiences and ideas, to make new year both educational and entertaining for their students.
